Munchkins & Maxis
Here at Munchkins we love our 2 fabulous homely settings. Munchkins Day Nursery is based in a converted cow shed and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and Maxis Out of School Club is based in the historical market town of Howden. We are proud of our amazing, dedicated team who ensure that all our children feel safe, happy and valued and that their day is full of laughter and fun.
We accept government funding for children from the age of 9 months where you are eligable. We accept all childcare vouchers and tax free childcare payment methods to help you as families with fees in any way we can.

Munchkins and Maxis have an open house policy where parents and families are welcomed at any time of the day. Both settings work together ensuring we are a welcoming, caring and inclusive community for all children, parents and staff.
We encourage, nurture and challenge all our children, in partnership with parents, watching them grow in confidence and develop to their full potential. Our staff are second to none; extremely dedicated and hard working and their approach strongly reflects our ethos.
We are very proud of our team and know that both our settings thrive due to their total commitment to our aim to be outstanding values-based settings, striving for excellence.
All our children enjoy life at Munchkins and Maxis immensely and with the support of parents, they contribute hugely to the calm, friendly and community atmosphere that we have developed. We work hard to ensure that our parents are reassured by our attention to high quality practice and our commitment to children’s physical and emotional security. We know the importance of celebrating with parents their children’s achievements, whether they are big or small.
Munchkins Day Nursery is graded a strong good, with comments such as:
